David Cervantes Biography

David Cervantes, Founder of Pinebrook Capital Management, LLC

David is the Founder and Principal of Pinebrook Capital Management. Pinebrook is a boutique asset manager, where David focuses his attention on asset allocation and managing various systematic trading strategies.

Career:

Prior to starting Pinebrook, David was in fixed income sales at Morgan Stanley and provided sales coverage to central banks and local financial institutions, where he established swap and repo lines to an under-covered sovereign market and to local players needing offshore dollar funding.

In addition to funding and FX intermediation, David provided risk management hedging solutions and brokerage execution to local broker-dealers.

Before going to Morgan Stanley, David was in cross-asset sales at UBS and JP Morgan, serving global investors in Asia, EMEA, and Latin America.

Education:

David has an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and completed his graduate coursework in international finance at the National University of Singapore.

He is also a graduate of UC Santa Barbara, where he double majored in economics and international relations.

David completed his senior thesis on currency pegs and devaluations at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve in Washington, DC.

Personal:

David is fluent in Spanish and French and is an avid traveler with his family. He is often found riding a bike, trying to avoid running into local deer.
