Yea I intend to have one channel. I don’t have the bandwidth to moderate multiple channels. That’s not my core job. I find most chat forums a waste of time and a distraction. I don’t want to be another one of those. Certainly not at the expense of the research product.
I actually love the simple and integrated substack feed but didn't feel a need to comment on a non-change.
I'll give Discord a fair shake, but please keep the number of channels to a minimum. I've used some services where they spread their posts/discussion out between discord channels and it ends up more work tabbing through 6 rooms for 6 updates and fragmented convos than just a simple chrono feed.
Thanks David, these would all be great features. Ditto on the framework dashboard/tools, that would seriously be huge.
Also idk if anyone mentioned maybe it's just me (so feel free to ignore) but the old David that had a writing style with shorter content, straight to the point thesis, and occasional typos is missed! Not sure if the newer content is proofread by AI... either way I still read everything you have to offer. Truly 1 of 1 and always very stoked to read anytime you publish.
What you describe, Gated alerts, a live blotter, proprietary dashboards, line up perfectly with the platform we've been working on!
We are an early-stage startup that turns signals, investment theses, and high-quality research like yours into live playbooks/dashboards with portfolio tracking, backtesting, and notifications that your community can follow.
Alva would love to serve as a tooling/distribution partner for your content creation.
You'd spend most of your time on the framework logic (which is the part nobody else can replicate), not on the plumbing.

Sorry for the delayed comment. I would generally agree that I think trying to interact with you needs improvement. Is it the substack chat? Is it twitter (there's a public and private handle) etc. If people want to ask you questions in RT, where does this happen. There needs to be one place. You seem to want to do it on discord, but what's wrong with the Substack chat? That also automatically handles folks who subscribe and unsubscribe.

1 channel. I don’t have the time to moderate 6 room. Also that’s not analysis. That entertainment.
Can I still DM you on X when I get lonely during regular trading hours?
Last time I tried adding an OF sub to my wife’s boyfriend’s account he caught me but I’ll see what I can do
Ded bro. 💀

Great!
Nice upgrade, David. I will never cancel my subscription no matter where you go. 🤣
